Defeat Jet Chan is an optional objective in Evil Genius, which is available alongside Objective 7 - Global Chaos.

Overview[]

Jet Chan seems to be undefeatable, but every man has an Achilles' heel - if we can find out what that is, we can use it to our advantage and defeat him once and for all.

  • At great expense and risk, our operatives in China have discovered that Jet Chan learnt everything he knows during his upbringing in the Kun Shun monastery. As luck would have it, his actual mentor has retired from the monastic life and is now living in a shack in the Plateau of Tibet region. It should be a simple matter for us to kidnap him and then "persuade" him to tell use all he knows about Jet Chan.
  • Now that we have Master Miato we can extract the information we need to find out Jet Chan's weakness. Due to his many years meditating he will be immune to all types of psychological interrogation, only physical persuasion will do.
  • Our tender ministrations have revealed Jet Chan's hidden secret, He has gone so long undefeated that if someone were to beat him in a fight, then he would probably quit A.N.V.I.L. in shame and retreat into hiding for some serious meditiation on his failure.
    • Capturing and forcing him to take part in a "totally fair" one on one fight in a dojo should do the trick. Just to be sure, we will dose his bread and water liberally with sedatives.

Walkthrough[]

To complete this objective, the player must have a Martial Artist and a Dojo, and need to plot in Central Asia until the Kidnap Jet Chan's Mentor Act of Infamy is revealed. Completing the said AoI will bring in Chan's mentor, Master Miato, who should then be interrogated. However, Miato is immune to psychological interrogations (e.g. Mess Hall Counter or AI Supercomputer), thus he must be interrogated with physical means (e.g. Interrogation Chair or Bookcases). Afterwards, should the player captured Chan, he can now be "interrogated" at the Dojo.

Chan will then be forced to duel with one of the player's Martial Artists; initially they are evenly matched, but having been weakened by sedatives beforehand, Chan ultimately loses the duel. Ashamed by his defeat, Chan runs away and no longer stands in the Evil Genius' way anymore.
