Loot are valuable objects that are acquired through certain Side Stories.
Overview[]
Your nefarious scheming may enable you to acquire valuable artifacts from around the world. Placing stolen loot around your base will impress your minions.
Unlike other items that can be placed in the Lair, only one of each Loot item can be placed.
Loot doesn't produce a specific amount of heat, instead, it will completely fill an investigator's suspicion meter. For example, if a level 1 investigator finds loot, they will gain 5 suspicion, but if a level 2 finds loot, they will gain 10 suspicion.
Rogues will attempt to steal loot items if they get the chance. The player will be notified if a rogue steals a loot item. If the rogue is allowed to escape, the loot item will be re-secured by the forces of justice and lost forever.
While the Rogue Gallery lists Loot sorted by the original agency that held the item, not all items are found here, which might come from the fact that not all items seem to be linked to solely one agency and point of origin. This means the Rogue Gallery is not a way to track if you got every loot item.
Some loot requires a specific number of minions or active criminal networks in specific locations to unlock their respective Side Story. If you go above and then below the requirements the loot quest will disappear from the quest list unless already started. It will re-appear if you meet the requirements again.
When a piece of loot mentions a Main Objective not being complete as an unlock condition, this means that it gets locked again (and unavailable for the rest of that campaign) when that Main Objective has been completed.
Notes on the current list[]
Please take note of the following !
- The current listed Unlock Conditions are not always 100% certain - please comment on anything not fitting your experience!
- The numbers of the "Unlocked After Objective" and "Lost Come Objective" are currently speculation, and should be met with a degree of skepticism.
- If you want all possible loot in pursuit of the achievement, it is advised to Study the unlock conditions, progress slowly through the campaign story one objective at a time as a few items are only briefly available, to choose Eli as your starting Henchman (or recruit him by finishing his Side Stories as soon as possible) and to avoid completing Atomic Olga's story-line (but make sure to awaken her and Agent X as soon as possible).
- The following loot items are notorious for being harder to get than others due to brief/highly specific conditions:
- Cupid's Arrow (Becomes available in between Moment's Calm and Moment's respite, Will become unavailable on reaching Respite).
- Colombian Emerald (Becomes available in between Moment's respite and Moment of preparation, Will become unavailable on reaching Preparation).
- Giant Egg. Will appear only briefly in the Side-story tab and is prone to disappear if any other items are pursued instead. (Unknown if intentional)
- Terracotta Army. Requires recruitment of Clara Jones (mutually exclusive with Carl Caffard)

- Upon the release of the game, the Hubbard Slice side story was unavailable if the Flame of Prometheus was obtained first. This was fixed in the V1.7.0 patch, released on August 10, 2021.
